Gators BIG V Wrap Up – Finals Week 2

The Senior Gator Women travelled to Mornington on Saturday night for a chance to go straight into the Grand Final. That chance unfortunately slipped away from our Gators as they fell short to the Breakers 48-55.

With Jess Rarity in foul trouble and eventually being fouled out in the 4th Quarter along with Sharna Appleby it made it a little difficult for the Gators in the Second Half – in particular the 3rd Quarter where the Breakers outscored the Gators 23-11.

The Senior Gator Women will take on RMIT Redbacks once again this time in a do or die clash!

Saturday Night it was also Game 1 of the Semi-Final series at the Swamp for the Senior Gator Men who took on the Pakenham Warriors. The Gators started off well and lead by 12 points.

The Gator Men were a little shaken up after a huge fight back by the Warriors in the second half, luckily Nick Formosa steered the ship for his team getting it back to a close ball game but in the 4th quarter the Warriors got the job done winning 82-72 and take the lead in the Best of 3 Game Series 1-0.
