Altona Gators Big V Results – Round 16
There were some nail-biters down at the Swamp on Sunday! Shout out to our crowds that helped them over the line!
It kicked off with our Women holding out strong in the dying minutes of overtime, taking the 1 point win over Blackburn. Was great to have Sharna Appleby back on court, leading out with 19 points and 10 rebounds, followed closely by Jaylen-Rose Hawea with 15 points and 16 rebounds π
Unfortunately our Senior Men couldnβt hold out for the last minute in their game Sunday, with Sherbrooke hitting a late 3 pointer to take home the 2 point win π Big day out again for Anthony Kimble with 31 points and 14 rebounds, and Samson Rocker with 16 points and 10 rebounds.
Saturday night at the Swamp saw the Youth Men take a convincing win over local rivals Geelong United. Keeping their finals dreams alive! Solomon Deer was incredible again with 29 points and 12 rebounds.
Our Youth Women had another great team win away at Hawthorn this week! Shout out to the offensive contributions of Tyla Paraha and Monique Marcetic Vaotangi with their 18 and 11 points respectively.
