Hey Gator Fans,
What a way to kick off Pink Round with the Youth League Men putting on an absolute show against Wyndham on Saturday night at the Swamp.
A dominant victory by the boys which sees them 10-2 for the season. Marach Marach was on fire with 40 points in 21 minutes and at times took us to dunk city.
Great defence from the Gators, in particular Jake Afoa who had himself a double double with 25 points and 14 rebounds and Jo Bolondo having 2 blocks and 6 rebounds.
The Gators shot the lights out and had some high quality plays.
The Senior Menβs had the big road trip to Mildura where they got a huge victory and despite having a few players out.
Their on court leaders stepped up with one of them being Tyson Burton who had a double double with 20 points and 16 rebounds.
Great road trip for our Gators especially when you come away with the win.
The Gators had their annual Pink Day on Sunday 29 May where we raised funds for BCNA.
The Youth League Women got our double header underway against the Kilsyth Cobras.
The Gator girls lead by 13 points in the first half but then the Cobras flicked the switch in the second half levelling the scores numerous times and getting themselves right back into the game making it a tight contest.
In the last quarter Alicia Sciberras hit a few big time 3βs to pull her team over the line and the Gators just hold on in a 2 point thriller.
The second game of our double header was a one sided affair with our Senior Womenβsβ smashing the Collingwood All Stars.
Sharna Appleby outscoring the opposition herself with 32 points. Jess Rarity had herself a day out with 28 points and 20 rebounds (10 offensive and 10 defensive).
Throughout this demolition by the Gators their efforts on both ends of the courts was phenomenal considering they were shorthanded with players.
Another highlight was the confidence and talent put on display from young star Lucy Barth who finished up with 14 points, 2 assists, and 9 rebounds.
So, Gator Fans, four games this round and four wins, what a time to be a Gator.
