Gators BIG V Results Wrap Up – Finals Week 1

The Mildura Heat put up a fight in the first half against the Senior Gator Men on Saturday Night in the First Gators Finals BIG V Game of the weekend. But in the Second half the Gators clicked to perfection and dominated the rest of the game with a massive a 107-73 Win.

Tyson Burton with another brilliant performance, 27 Points and 9 Rebounds and Adam Anderson 26 Points dominated the scoring. The best thing to see from the Gators was them all Firing on all Cylinders and to sum this game up the starting five for the Gators combined for 97 points which outlines the team effort from this power house side.

We are so proud of the Senior Gators Mens team as they advance to the next round of BIG V Finals taking on the Whittlesea Pacers on Saturday night 8pm at Mill Park Stadium – Gators will be hoping to secure a spot in the Grand Final.

Our Gators Youth League Women advance to the Semi Final as they just beat the Waverley Falcons on Sunday afternoon at the Swamp in an epic game! With only 25 Seconds remaining in the game, it was all tied up at 69 a piece until the Gators went with a cutting play which saw Raini Matthews miss a layup but Cassie Dodemaide pounced for the rebound keeping it alive for the Gators and allowing the Gators an offensive reset.

Dodemaide not only getting the crucial Offensive Rebound late but also the Game Winner basket just in time. With three seconds remaining the Falcons fell short and were eliminated. Commiserations to the Falcons, a great effort this season.

The Gators Youth League Women will play the Keilor Thunder on Saturday Night at The Swamp at 7.30pm in the Semi-Final with the Winner through to the VYCW Grand Final – So we hope to see all you Gator Fans there cheering on our Gators Ladies.
