Gators Big V Results Recap – Round 2

In search for their first win of the season the Youth League Men went up to Sherbrooke Suns on Saturday night. The Sherbrooke Suns outscored the Gators in all four quarters and were tough to beat from the start. The 27 Turnovers did not help the Gators at all in this game but a highlight was Stefan Filippone with a double double, 13 Rebounds and 10 Points. Along with all 12 Gator players in this game having 2 points or more.

Another Win for our Senior Men as they beat the Sherbrooke Suns on the road. A strong start by our Gators saw them leading by 13 Points at the end of the 1st quarter. A great debut from Adam Anderson with 19 Points in the first half and finishing with 28 Points for the game.

Samson Rocker was another heavy contributor for the Gators with 17 Points in the first half and 22 Points for the game also with 7 Rebounds and 2 Blocks.

A close contest against Bellarine for our Senior Women as they lost in a nail biting Overtime finish. Fortunately for the Gators, Bellarine missed their free throws late in regulation which forced OT but the Gators fell short by just 4 Points in the end.

Despite the loss Jordan Wilson was great with 20 Points and 4 Blocks.

All Class by our Youth League Women against the Sandringham Sabres on Sunday afternoon. Our Gators outscored the Sabres in the second quarter 26-8 and had a comfortable 27 Point lead at halftime. Great to see a variety of players score in this one, especially from downtown with eleven 3 Pointers for the Gators.
