Altona Gators BIG V Results Wrap Up – Finals Week 2

In front of a packed crowd at the Swamp Saturday night, the Youth League Women took on the Keilor Thunder in the Prelim Final on Saturday night.

The crowd in full voice set the tone for a fast end to end contest in the first half. The Gators being down by just four points at halftime were well and truly in this game but in the second half the Thunder strike hit fast and hard as they got out to a double digit lead. This led to Keilor locking in their spot in the Grand Final and we would like to wish them all the best.

For our Gators, WOW, what an incredible effort throughout this year and Kate Coffey in her first year in charge as Head Coach was absolutely brilliant as her team finished on top of the Watson table. So proud of how far the team has come not only throughout the regular season but finals as well. We are all so proud of you girls, well done on a fantastic year!

The Senior Gator Men are onto the big dance!!!!!

Defeating Whittlesea Pacers in a thriller on Saturday night at Mill Park Stadium sees the Gator Men lock in a Home Grand Final. The Gators were trailing throughout the game by a handful of points and they worked hard to keep in touch with the Pacers on the Scoreboard.

Eventually, in the 4th quarter the Gators outscored the Pacers 24 – 16 and held on for the Victory. Samson Rocker definitely the player of the game not only making crucial free throws late to put the icing on the cake but also having 32 Points, being the main offensive provider for the team.
