Gators Big V Wrap Up – Round 12
A lovely winning streak building up for the Senior Women as they make it three in a row beating the Chelsea Gulls on Saturday night. Great to see Alysha Carden David back in action as she had 9 Rebounds and 14 Points. Jess Rarity also had a good game getting a double double, 13 Rebounds and 12 Points.
A solid victory for Geelong United as they beat the Youth League Gator Men on Saturday. United outscored the Gators in all four quarters and they could not be stopped.
Looking to regroup the following day, they put up a good fight but unlucky for the Gators as they fell 3 points short to the Sherbrooke Suns at the Swamp. A Lachie Shields special from downtown late in the game made it very close but the Gators ran out of time.
Saturday night the Youth League Women were trailing early against the Waverley Falcons but they eventually found their feet and took charge in this game leading at halftime 38 β 29. The Falcons hit straight back outscoring the Gators in the 3rd quarter 27 β 8 and they were flying high with the victory at the end of the night by 3 Points.
Super strength by the Senior Men on the road as they destroyed the Craigieburn Eagles from tip off. Adam Anderson was brilliant with 24 Points at the end of the first quarter shooting the ball at 89%. 38 points for Anderson at the end of the game as he hit seven out of 11 three pointers and also had seven rebounds. Four Gators in double digits on the scoring sheet in what was a powerful team win.
You would think he would be tired but the Adam Anderson battery recharged overnight and fired up again on Sunday dropping 23 points against the Sherbrooke Suns in a great home win for the Gators which is their 12th win of the season. A nice game by Thomas Georgiadis making five out of eight attempts from the three point arch. Tommy finishing with 18 points, two assists, and two steals. A huge Round 13 for the Senior Men as they take on the unbeaten top of the table Whittlesea Pacers on Saturday night in Mill Park.
Gator fam hope to see you on Saturday night at the Swamp as the Senior Women search for four straight wins when they take on Western Port.
