The Altona Gators are proud to announce that Jason Bryant and Josh Turton will usher the Gators Youth League One and Division Two Senior Men’s program into an exciting new era for the Club in the 2023 BIG V Season.

Jason has a well-rounded background as a Basketball Coach with success in various areas of the game. He is currently the Head Coach of the Victorian Wheelchair Basketball State Development Program as well as the State Coach and the Head Coach of the Altona Gators U18 Boys program.

Josh comes with a youthful exuberance and a solid understanding of current basketball trends – Josh was an Assistant Coach for the Welsh National Team in 2018 and has 5 years of BIG V Coaching experience including a successful stint as the Bench Coach for the Altona Gators Division Two Men in 2022.

“We are excited about turning the Club in a direction where not only does the style of play looks similar from our Gators Juniors to our Gators Seniors, but the players do as well.” Director of Coaching Randy Shanklin.

The Gators Senior Men’s program is coming off a Very Successful 2022 Big V Campaign that saw both teams make finals.

Make sure you get out and support our Senior Programs when the BIG V Pre-Season Tryouts begin in November. Season 2023 of the BIG V Officially begins this coming March 2023.
